CNC system, robot and machine tool manufacturer Fanuc Corporation (Hoffman Estates, Illinois) has been named one of the top 100 companies in Forbes magazine’s “World’s Most Innovative Companies” list.
The list recognizes the companies throughout the world that are deemed most likely to continue to succeed today and in the future. It is based on an eight-year study conducted by professors and advisors, who identified particular skills common to business innovators. Additionally, the study claims that calculating a company’s value, plus anticipated growth fueled by new, innovative products, will identify the most innovative companies. Quantifying the study’s findings led the researchers to develop a specific measure to rank these firms.
Fanuc says its efforts to develop CNC equipment since its founding in 1956 have contributed to the industry’s evolution from automating a single machine to automating entire production lines.
