Dormer Tools, Pramet Tools Merge

Rotary tools supplier Dormer Tools has merged with Pramet Tools under the new corporate name Dormer Pramet. Dormer, based in Elgin, Illinois, provides rotary cutting tools for drilling, threading, milling and reaming to North American customers. Meanwhile, Pramet has built a reputation in Europe for its indexable inserts used in heavy engineering and the rail industry. The merger enhances the companies’ combined tooling program while also expanding sales and technical support service.
