Life-Sized (and Lifelike) Virtual Employees

Virtual employees offer greetings at every corner of the Makino booth. Life-sized films of the company president and other staff members projected onto plexiglass cutouts make for an eerily convincing simulation of the actual person. In the photo here, Makino's Mark Rentschler poses beside his own facsimile. Various times at the show, I've found myself in crowds where I have overheard people talking about the lifelikeness of this effect.
