Accurate Five-Axis

Mitsui Seiki's Vertex 750-5X is a scaled-up version of its successful high speed, high precision five-axis vertical machining center. The machine features unusually high dynamic stiffness, 0.5 G acceleration and rotary-axis cutting feed rates of 20 rpm in A and 40 rpm in C. A demo in the booth uses an indicator near the edge of the rotary table to track dimensional stability as the machine cycles through complex coordinated moves.
