Leaders-In background
Featuring polished insert faces and cutting edges, Sumitomo’s AC610M and AC630M grades are designed for turning steel and stainless steel. Each grade combines advanced substrates and wear-resistant Al2O3 and TiCN coatings, which can result in longer tool life and increased productivity, the company says.

The AC630M is suited for stainless steel, and the AC610M is designed for high speed applications. According to the company, the former offers peeling and notch wear resistance, while the latter offers plastic-deformation control and wear resistance. Both are available in positive and negative insert styles.
