Designed for solid, vibration-free cutting, the saw offers fully hydraulic operation. Blade speed is infinitely variable from 60 to 360 fpm to enable the operator to adjust the cutting speed for optimal sawing of the material, the company says. The saw frame is canted 5 degrees to easily cut through the bottom of a structural section, avoiding vibration or slowing down the sawing rate.
The band saw is equipped with a free-standing operator console that may be placed in the desired location. According to the company, when the operator pushes a single button, the saw frame automatically senses the material size, the vise clamps, and the saw frame makes the cut at the preset rate. It then automatically returns to clear the workpiece, and the vise opens ready for the next cut, enabling faster production sawing.
