View MoreRocklin Manufacturing’s FlyMarker mini, available from Equipment Sales Co., is the fourth generation of the battery-operated dot peen marking system. Housed in an ergonomically designed, compact unit weighing 6 lbs, this marking unit can be carried throughout the shop with no power or air cables. A strong magnet and powerful battery quickly produce durable and unforgeable markings on nearly any material, ranging from plastics to aluminum to steel, the company says. The marking system also marks round parts, with automatic height compensation to 5 mm.
Marking files can be programmed via software on the unit itself, which includes storage space for several hundred files. Alternatively, one can create the marking files using optional software for PC and then transfer to the Flymarker mini using its built-in USB interface. Logos, data matrix codes, integrated barcode scanners and solid-column frames for conversion to a tabletop unit are included among optional accessories.
