The Tilt-A-Jet cutting head is said to be a major advancement in taper control. The manufacturer has built a taper cutting model into the PC controller which then activates the omnidirectional tilting head during cutting to automatically eliminate taper. In rigorous tests, tilting is claimed to have improved speed on parts that otherwise would have had excess taper. The Tilt-A-Jet Cutting Head provides up to 10 degrees of tilt, with a 7 ΒΌ" maximum travel on the Z direction, and can be used on all Omax machines, new or old.
