The ChilAire Element from Cool Clean Technologies is said to improve machining performance in operations that are normally run dry or in operations using lubricants. The system can be used in a variety of demanding machining operations, including rubber roll grinding, hard turning, super-hard rollers and CFRP drilling. It can be integrated directly into new or existing machining equipment and processes to provide clean and cool lubrication for challenging machining applications.
Benefits include increased feed rates, tool life and heat removal. There is virtually no fluid waste or staining. The system is said to offer a better part finish; infinitely variable dry, near-dry, wet and near-cryogenic cooling; lubricating sprays and more.
Standard features include a cleaning coolant spray generator/controller, custom spray-though cutting tools and an interface cable for automatic machine control.
