Firetrace will showcase its automatic fire detection and suppression systems, said to quickly, reliably detect and suppress machine fires sparked by oil-based metalworking fluids, coolants and lubricants. The systems detect and extinguish fires inside CNC and EDM machines, reducing or eliminating machine damage, lowering repair costs, and decreasing downtime compared to overhead sprinkler systems, the company says. Designed for easy installation on any new or existing machine, Firetrace systems require no electrical power to operate, and do not interfere with machine operation or maintenance.
