Autodesk Inc. is showcasing its complete portfolio of design and make products, including the release of Autodesk Fusion, a cloud-enabled software for designers and manufacturers.
This year alone, there have been eight major releases of Fusion, delivering over 50 custom manufacturing features and 1,500+ improvements. The Autodesk team is available for attendees to speak to at the booth. There, attendees can learn about the latest updates and what’s coming next, including:
- AI-driven CAM programming tools, such as the integration of CAM Assist from CloudNC, that can simplify the programming of parts by automatically selecting the optimal tools, strategies and cutting parameters
- Intelligent multi-axis machining strategies, such as five-axis Deburr, Advanced Swarf and Automatic 3+2 Area Clearance, which can identify the most effective combination of tool orientations to rough a part
- A TurnMill update that is said to include more accurate tool definitions and a collection of improved strategies, such as bar-pull cycles, grooving, turning threading and facing controls. These features aim to shorten cycle times and improve overall surface finish quality
- Advanced machining strategies, including a custom Blend toolpath, full machine collision detection, editable Deburr and Geodesic toolpaths and four-axis support across most 3D toolpaths. These additions are said to increase CAM programming flexibility, which can enable Fusion to be used on complex parts
- Improved additive manufacturing capabilities, including defining no-build zones, enhanced Monte Carlo part arranging and automatic orientation comparison studies, that can enable quick and intuitive development of projects
- AI-driven automatic drawing creation that can save up to 80% of engineering time spent creating 2D documentation.
