The UP Companies (UPCO) and its divisions, Square UP Builders, Power UP Electrical and Hustle UP Laborers, are celebrating another year in Kansas City by expanding to a larger office with a warehouse, adding a new division and increasing its workforce to complete a backlog of new projects.

Within just a few years of establishing a brick-and-mortar presence in Kansas City, the full-service contractor is moving to a new office in Lenexa, Kansas — a facility more than double the size of its previous location. UPCO has also expanded its workforce over the past two and a half years. David Murrell, regional director for The UP Companies, and his team are credited with establishing and growing Square UP, Power UP and Hustle UP in the Kansas City metro area. All three divisions support commercial, warehouse/data centers and healthcare projects for general contractors in Kansas City.

The company’s work focuses on healthcare, education, warehouse buildouts and commercial tenant improvement. Some of the contractor’s current projects include eight metro Target renovations, and recently awarded projects for PACE KC Swope Health, KCI Concessions, KIPP KC High School and BioLife Plasma, with repeat clinical/surgery renovations at Saint Luke's Hospitals, Research Medical and Olathe Health Systems.
