View MorePhillips Corp. announces the launch of its Student Design and Machining Competition, offering students an opportunity to showcase their skills and win prizes. Registration is free and takes place online, closing on October 31st, 2024.
Students can win a trip to tour Haas Automation in California, as well as a day at a nearby theme park. Participants will also receive tools, simulators, Haas tooling certificates, Markforged certificates, gift cards and more.
This online competition invites teams of two to six high school and/or college students to design and manufacture practical parts using 3D printing and subtractive machining techniques. Multiple teams from the same school are encouraged to participate. Design submissions are due by December 20th, 2024 and machining submissions by March 15th, 2025.
Mark Terryberry from Haas “Tip of the Day” will evaluate projects alongside application engineers. This is a chance for students to receive feedback and insights from professionals in the field.
