Junker Group Acquires Majority Share in ZEMA
The Germany-based group now offers both CBN and corundum grinding solutions.
The Junker Group (Nordrach, Germany), parent company of Erwin Junker Machinery Inc., has acquired a majority share in ZEMA, a Brazilian manufacturer of grinding machines. Founded in 1953, ZEMA manufactures CNC grinders with conventional grinding wheels, which until recently were sold mainly to the Brazilian market. Junker, whose machines are primarily designed for grinding with CBN, is now able to offer solutions for grinding with corundum as a result of the acquisition.
