Autodesk’s line of 2017 CAM products includes the latest versions of FeatureCAM and PartMaker, PowerMill, PowerShape, and PowerInspect for applications ranging from CNC mill and lathe programming to complex die/mold manufacturing.
Autodesk’s FeatureCAM for milling machines, turning and turn-mill machines, and wire EDMs is designed to reduce programming time, enabling faster part production. The 2017 version features programming capabilities for dual-path Swiss-type lathes as well as the ability to import and view product and manufacturing information directly from a model to help visualize design specifications. The product provides access to functionality that enables pre-drilling when using Vortex toolpaths, eliminating the need for helical ramp moves.
PartMaker 2017, now available within the FeatureCAM 2017 Ultimate product tier, enables complex, high-precision part manufacturing with Swiss-type lathes.
Autodesk also offers PowerMill for designing complex molds, dies and other components; PowerShape for designing 3D complex parts; and PowerInspect for hardware-independent inspection.
