MMS: We Cover the Big Boys, Too
Warner Robins Air Force Base services both cargo and fighter aircraft.
Warner Robins Air Force Base services both cargo and fighter aircraft. We profiled its machine shop that supports that mission.
Every once in a while we get tagged as a magazine that only covers small shops. Au contraire. I admit that from a story production standpoint, it’s easier dealing with small shops because we often work directly with the shop owner. That said, the big boys do some neat machining, too, and we certainly want to profile those applications in the magazine.
Here’s a list of big-name companies we’ve written about just since December 2009 (along with links to the stories we crafted):
• Boeing
• GE Aviation Evendale
• Ford
• GKN Aerospace
• KitchenAid
• Warner Robins Air Force Base
• Bell Helicopter
• SEW Eurodrive
• Rolls-Royce
• Lockheed Martin
• (and finally) “Big Shoe Company” that wished to remain nameless
