The 2022 edition of the annual Top Shops benchmarking program is now open! This program offers a way to compare your shop’s performance in key areas with an aggregate of other shops’ metrics.
Users participate in a free survey, after which they receive a custom report ranking them in machining technology, shopfloor practices, business strategies and human resources. Our sister brand, Gardner Intelligence, can also provide specific data slices with the precise information users need — including comparisons with other shops serving particular industries, using the same type of equipment or competing in a specific region.
Participants in the survey will also receive a free listing in the Top Shops Sourcing Platform. This platform enables shops to present the strongest aspects of their people, performance and process expertise to potential customers. This will enhance shops’ ability to compete for jobs using KPIs beyond cost.
While the survey is open year-round, shops that participate before April 30, 2022 will be considered for selection as 2022 Top Shops honorees. Honorees will be profiled in a fall issue of Modern Machine Shop.
“In uncertain times, businesses need to know where they are excelling and where they have opportunities to improve,” says Justin Combs, senior marketing manager with Gardner Intelligence. “The Top Shops program gives them the info they need to succeed.”
