Hirschmann offers self-centering vises designed to quickly and accurately clamp different types of workpieces for five-sided machining. The vises can be mounted directly to machine tables or pallet systems like the company’s Zero Point reference system. Depending on the pallet system, they can be clamped parallel to the machine table or at 45- and 90-degree indexes. The product’s 65-mm wide reversible jaws enable clamping of parts ranging from 1 to 110 mm in length or width. Optional raw jaws milled to match part geometry are available.
