Expanded Toolholders for Swiss-Type Lathes
Tungaloy has expanded its DoMiniTurn line of external toolholders for Swiss-type lathes.
Tungaloy has expanded its DoMiniTurn line of external toolholders for Swiss-type lathes. This series is designed for use with double-sided inserts such as Tungaloy’s VXGU09, which has four positive cutting edges for low cutting force. The expansion includes external toolholders for this kind of V-style inserts suitable for undercutting and profiling. Neck-down-type toolholders offset the cutting edge from the guide bushing. In finishing operations where high surface finish is required, the workpiece stays in the guide bushing without chips jamming. Finally, the expansion includes 20 × 20-mm-shank toolholders useful for automatic turret lathes.
