Carmex Precision Tool’s BLU grade thread-turning inserts combine a sub-micrograin grade with a triple-layer physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating to improve strength, tool life, thread accuracy and surface finish, even in difficult materials, the company says. They are available in a variety of pitches and thread to improve cutting performance and shorten cycle times.
