DN Solutions is debuting the Puma TT2500SYB. This latest version of DN Solutions’ twin-spindle, twin-turret horizontal turning center features a 4″ (102-mm) bar capacity, designed to meet the demands of manufacturers making larger high precision, complex parts.
The Puma TT Series of turning centers are designed and built for the fast processing and mass production of complex parts. The left and right spindles and the upper and lower turrets are able to operate independently, intending to double productivity and deliver simultaneous machining performance.
In addition to its 4″ bar capacity on both the main and sub spindles, the Puma TT2500SYB features 3,000 rpm built-in drive spindles that can deliver up to 35 hp each. These specifications combine with 12 stations in the upper and lower turrets to make this machine well suited for the heavy duty cutting of complex parts demanded by the energy industry such as fracking tubes, fracking mandrels, perforating guns and other components, according to the company.
“The Puma TT Series is our most fully-featured and productive collection of turning centers,” states Andy McNamara, VP of sales at DN Solutions America. “We previously offered TT Series machines with bar capacities of 1.65″ to 3.19″ (42 mm to 81 mm), and the 4″ (102 mm) bar capacity of the Puma TT2500SYB gives our customers the opportunity to bar feed larger part applications on this turning center platform.”
At the booth, the PUMA TT2500SYB is being demonstrated with a large capacity bar feeder for unmanned operation.
