Sandvik Coromant Appoints New President of the Americas

Veronica Messersmith will spearhead the company’s strategic growth initiatives across North and South America.

Sandvik Coromant has appointed Veronica Messersmith as president of the Americas. Messersmith brings over 25 years of experience with Sandvik Coromant to the role, having joined the company in 1998.

Messersmith has held various roles within the organization, including positions in production, operations and sales leadership. Most recently, she served as acting president for the Americas while active in her full-time role as vice president of strategic relations for the Americas, where she oversaw global account management, machine tool solutions and national channel strategy. Previously, she held leadership roles spanning regional and cluster sales management.

In her new role, Messersmith will spearhead the company’s strategic growth initiatives across North and South America. She is said to possess leadership qualities and values such as integrity, innovation and collaboration.

“Veronica’s extensive background driving sales excellence and operational efficiency and delivering valued customer solutions makes her an exceptional choice to lead our Americas business,” says Michael Eneberg, global vice president of sales and marketing at Sandvik Coromant. “Her passionate, customer-centric approach, combined with a proven ability to develop high-performing teams, will be a tremendous asset as we accelerate our growth momentum in this critical region.”

Messersmith holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Texas A&M University and is an active member of various organizations, such as Women in Manufacturing, Women of Industrial Supply Executives and the Industrial Supply Association.
