View MoreGrizzly Industrial announces the return of its Grizzly Tent Sale to Springfield, Mo. after a five year hiatus. In past years, the event has attracted metalworking and woodworking enthusiasts from across the country. Grizzly has expanded the event this year with the addition of a second full day of activities, including demonstrations by industry experts and a presentation from the stars of NPR’s popular woodworking series, “Woodsmith TV.”
The centerpiece of the weekend event is the Grizzly Tent Sale. Over 38,000 sq. ft. of tent space is offering deals on hundreds of “as-is” and “scratch-and-dent” tools and machines. “We ship hundreds of wood and metalworking machines every business day,” says Grizzly general manager Jack Blackburn. “Inevitably, some get damaged in the process. These are often minor blemishes or small imperfections. We can’t sell them as new, but for anyone who is willing to make the repairs themselves or put up with a few dents and scratches, this is an opportunity to outfit your shop with quality tools at a bargain price.”
The Grizzly Tent Sale takes place on September 14th in the parking lot of the Grizzly Industrial warehouse at 1815 West Battlefield Road in Springfield, Missouri. The sale kicks off at 8:30 a.m. and concludes at 3 p.m. Early arrival is recommended.
Grizzly has also added a “Customer Appreciation Day” on Friday, September 13th. The event features several product demonstrations from industry experts, including Logan Wittmer and Phil Huber. Wittmer is the editor in chief of Popular Woodworking Magazine, and together with Huber, they host the NPR show “Woodsmith TV.”
The September 13th customer appreciation event is being hosted in the 36,000 sq. ft. Grizzly Superstore and Showroom, also located at the corner of Battlefield Street and South Kansas Expressway. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. and demonstrations take place throughout the day, along with in-store only discounts, door prizes, giveaways and other activities. The showroom is open until 6 p.m. both days.
