GMTA to Represent Stiefelmayer's Lasers in North America
German Machine Tools of America will distribute Stiefelmayer GmbH’s line of laser machines in North America, and plans to target automotive markets.
German Machine Tools of America (GMTA) has signed an agreement with Stiefelmayer GmbH to represent Stiefelmayer’s line of laser machines in North America. Stiefelmayer offers lasers for various cutting applications, including motor laminations and laser hardening.
“The Stiefelmayer line is a highly regarded brand in Germany,” says GMTA president Walter Friedrich. “Coupled with our Arnold line of laser systems, the new lasers will give us a formidable offering for the North American market, especially for the automotive and burgeoning electric vehicle (EV) market.”
Stiefelmayer prides itself on its “blue effective” program of energy-saving technology and sustainability, which is designed to deliver environmental and economic benefits to the user.
GMTA particularly recommends the Stiefelmayer laser for cutting precision shapes in thin substrates, including mild and stainless steel, copper and brass. The companies also say the lasers’ aptitude in performing motor laminations supports the American auto industry’s growing transition toward EVs.
