View MorePRAB (Kalamazoo, Michigan) has expanded its fluid filtration division into industrial wastewater treatment. The company, a division of KMC Global, has partnered with Veolia Water Solutions of Italy to market and support its Evaled line of evaporative technology in North America.
The wastewater treatment division was formed in light of recent studies showing a demand for comprehensive water recycling which is expected to rise. According to Tim Hanna, managing director of the new division, “Industry understands the need to treat and recycle or reuse water. Water is no longer to be considered a disposal by-product of operations but rather an integral component to production and therefore needs to be monitored like any other raw material.”
PRAB’s partnership with Veolia Water will broaden its line of wastewater treatment systems to include the Evaled evaporation and distillation technology along with its existing vacuum and ultrafiltration equipment.
