The covers are fixed, with a retractable roll-up design with an optional canister housing to protect gearing, spindles and wound-up cover areas. Available materials include stainless steel, AGS-I with aluminum extrusions and AGS-II with aluminum extrusions with a walk-on surface that is either plain or has non-skid tape. The stainless steel cover is also available with non-skid paint on the walk-on surface. Mounting options include angular, over way or pit surface, and under way or pit surface. Custom mountings are also available. The roll-up drive can have an air motor for constant torque, or a steel spring for high tension. Typical applications include containing fumes and preventing injury on chemical tanks, large machine tools with exposed ways, and pits and machine enclosures with large openings in the walls or floor.
